Back to Musings

As a white woman practicing integrative mystical healing, which draws from my studies of many global cultures and traditions, it is important to me that I create opportunities for myself and others to honor those cultures/traditions and give back without appropriating them. I am on a path of continual learning, unpacking and dismantling my internalized oppressive behaviors and I welcome feedback on this topic as well as suggestions for paid trainings. In the mean time, I will be donating a portion of my profits to the following organizations and invite you to do the same!

Donate to the Heart Walk Foundation, an international humanitarian organization that collaborates with remote Q’ero tribal villages in the high Andes Mountains of Peru.

Donate to the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, whose purpose is to provide leadership within the Ayurvedic profession and to promote a positive vision for Ayurveda and its holistic approach to health and wellness.

Donate to the Indian Women and Child Welfare Trust, whose vision is a just and compassionate Indian society in which all people will have the opportunity to achieve their optimum potential.

Check out these books, written by my first teacher of Reiki and Ayurveda, Dr. S. Mohanambal (affectionately known as “Didi”).

Follow Dr. Parla Jayagopal, an extraordinarily talented teacher of Ayurvedic Medicine.
